K-8th Grade, here are some basic protocols we follow for keeping kids in school safely.

Close Contact to Someone with Covid-19

Vaccinated- If your child has had an exposure to someone with Covid-19, but does not have symptoms they may come to school with no further action necessary. Please have your child wear a double surgical mask, surgical mask with a cloth mask, a KN95, or a N95 mask to school for 10 days. If they develop symptoms, keep them home and contact me again.

Not Vaccinated- If your child has had an exposure to someone with Covid-19 and is not vaccinated, they may Test to Stay. Take a rapid test as soon as possible after the exposure and if it is negative, they may come to school. They will test again on day 5, and then again on day 10. As long as the test remains negative, they may stay in school. Please have your child wear a double surgical mask, surgical mask with a cloth mask, a KN95, or a N95 mask to school for 10 days. If you do not wish to have your child Test to Stay, they need to remain home to quarantine for 10 days (we count the exposure day as day 0).

Covid Symptoms

Vaccinated and Not Vaccinated-  Your child can receive a PCR test from SCS in a drive up type testing in our school parking lot. One of our COVID specialists will be in touch with you about their specific return to school date once they know more information.
